Park Closure

Please note the deadline of 30 Nov 2012 to lodge your objection with CoJ - see below for more information

29 Mar 2012: CoJ passed a resolution requesting CoJ Property Company proceed with closure of the public park by following the terms of the relevant legislation that prescribes the process.

Subject to the successful closure of the public parks, CoJ Department of Housing to proceed with the housing project.

In terms of the relevant ordinance, CoJ have to inform residents and give residents a 30 day window in which to object.

12 Sep 2012: We lodged formal objections with CoJ.

14 Sep 2012: We received a reply from CoJ Property Company - see Email_Stopped_Park_Closures_Klipriviersberg_South_Hills.pdf

Kindly note that we have stopped all proceedings as a result of non-compliance with certain requirements of the relevant Ordinance

13 Nov 2012: We are preparing an objection to this second set of notices.

28 Nov 2012: We handed in the Southern Civic Association objection to the proposed closure of Moffat Park

We ask that all concerned residents submit an individual written objection.
